About This Project
Role:
We are looking for experienced technical professionals to help review and improve AI-generated content in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) safety. The work combines subject-matter judgment with careful written evaluation: you will check whether model responses are technically sound, appropriately cautious, and useful without crossing into unsafe or overly operational guidance.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: All trainers must be a citizen of, currently reside in, or both, one of the Five Eyes (FVEY) countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, or New Zealand. Candidates who do not meet this requirement are not eligible for this role.
What You’ll Do
- Review AI-generated technical content: Check responses on CBRN, hazardous materials, emergency preparedness, and public-safety topics for technical accuracy, clarity, and safe framing.
- Spot unsafe or misleading guidance: Identify content that is overly procedural, enables harmful activity, gives inappropriate acquisition or evasion guidance, misstates exposure risks, or provides unsafe laboratory or emergency advice.
- Write and improve reference answers: Create or refine high-quality examples that answer legitimate questions clearly while staying within appropriate safety boundaries.
- Compare and rank model responses: Judge which response is stronger based on factual accuracy, risk framing, usefulness, refusal quality when needed, and overall clarity.
- Catch technical errors: Flag hallucinated facts, incorrect hazard classifications, unsupported conclusions, poor escalation advice, misleading risk statements, or misuse of technical terminology.
- Apply project guidance consistently: Use project rubrics and review standards in a repeatable way and explain your decisions in concise written feedback.
- Escalate sensitive cases: Recognize when an item is ambiguous, high risk, or outside the expected review boundary and route it for additional review.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical field, or equivalent professional experience. Strong matches include Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Nuclear Physics, Engineering, Materials Sciences, and closely related disciplines.
